Leading with Kindness: our tone and words matter

Speaking kindly and gently to someone rude, ungrateful, or caught up in themselves… isn’t always easy.

In those moments, it can feel far more natural to mirror their tone, to react rather than respond.

But one thing I keep coming back to is this: our words and our tone carry weight. They have the power to either bring heaviness into a moment — or to bring a sense of light, even in the middle of a challenge.

“I don’t always get this right (far from it), but I try to remind myself of the quiet power in choosing gentleness. Not because it will instantly change the situation, but because over time — especially when paired with wisdom — it can soften hearts, shift moments, and create something better than what was first given”

It’s a practice. One I return to daily, though challenging.

Do you try to speak kindly, even when it’s hard? And how does it shape your day?

Live life with kindness, courage, and intention.
