This week’s kindness tip
“People look for retreats for themselves, in the country, by the coast, or in the hills . . . There is nowhere that a person can find a more peaceful and trouble-free retreat than in his /her own mind. . . . So constantly give yourself this retreat, and renew yourself” – Marcus Aurelius
“Positive thinking is nothing, if it is not followed by an action” – Dr Edith Eva Eger.
Kindness tip for this week is to begin to renew our minds again by cultivating higher thinking. At the moment, better thinking seems to be difficult to attain as we fill our minds repeatedly with negative news reports.. and some of us cannot stop talking about it, posting about it etc.
So instead of repeating the same downward action- this is a great time to break the mold, if one is serious about recapturing that JOY again in the mind. E.g decide beforehand which fitness routines, websites, podcasts or books to read, watch and do throughout the course of the week during breaks etc. Make a plan and follow through in your note book or diary.
