Leading with Kindness: Be kind to the unkind
Be kind to the unkind.
Not everyone we cross paths with will be kind, polite, well-mannered, helpful, or understanding. That’s the reality of the world we live in.
But kindness isn’t something we offer only when it’s returned. It’s a way of living. It’s reflected in the words we choose, the tone we carry, the expression on our face, and even in the way we leave a conversation. This takes practice…
“Being kind doesn’t mean staying silent or allowing people to mistreat you. Kindness can look like setting healthy boundaries, speaking the truth with grace, and walking away without bitterness”
Anyone can match rudeness with rudeness. It takes far more strength to respond with self-control. Don’t be pulled into someone else’s behavior. Stay above it. That’s not weakness—that’s maturity. That’s character. That’s kindness.
How have you shown kindness to someone who wasn’t kind to you?
