Fitness is Kindness
Post by Elena (Marketing professional and Fitness Trainer)
Hello, hello and happy Friday!
So How is keeping fit an act of kindness?
That got me thinking so I decided to investigate this question.
Soon enough I realized the two things are not only linked to each other but, even more, so closely intertwined that they depend on one another.
Working out in the gym, going for a run, attending a yoga class… these are all acts of kindness towards yourself.
Regardless of your goal or motivation, you are making time for yourself, taking care of your body & your mind.
Similarly, in order to be kind, you have to be fit.
And I’m not referring to things like: “you have to be able to lift heavy weights so you can help the elderly carry their bags up the stairs”
As the wisdom goes, “mens sana in corpore sano” – a fit mind, in a fit body, will be capable of great kindness.
Thus, I can conclude that fitness is kindness.
Hence why not go for a jog this weekend? Maybe join that breakfast yoga class? Or even a stroll in the park…
Any type of physical activity will help release endorphins, which will make you feel better and, in turn, more prone to kindness.
So here’s my 1st #FridayFitTip: stay fit, stay kind.
I hope you enjoyed this post – curious to hear your thoughts.
Elena 🙂
