Leading with Longevity: Cut down the scolling
It’s the holiday season, and I’ve noticed I’ve had a little more time to scroll.
And honestly, social media isn’t all bad in small doses. Sometimes it’s helpful, inspiring, or just a nice way to stay connected. The real difference, I think, is how you feel after.
“Recently, I popped onto social media just to look at someone’s photos. That was the intention. But before I knew it, I’d watched everything — and then some. When I finally put my phone down, I felt a bit annoyed. Not at anyone else… just that I’d wasted time getting caught up in other people’s “sunshine” reels”
That feeling was my reminder.
If you come away from social media feeling flat, irritated, or not quite yourself, it might be time to pause or gently pull back.
For me, that looks like setting limits, or simply putting my phone out of sight so it’s not always within reach.
Nothing drastic. Just small, intentional choices.
One life. Let’s live it with kindness, intention, and action.
