End the scroll…
Have you ever said to yourself, “I’m just going to check my phone for 10 minutes”—and then somehow an hour disappears? You find yourself being pulled, almost by an invisible string, from one tab to the next, one app to another.
“This has happened to me more times than I can count over the yeats. But the last time it did, I had this image pop into my head: it felt like I was being sent to the back of a long line—again and again—just for breaking the rule of checking my phone while waiting”
It made me realize how often we waste those little pockets of time—boredom, waiting, or a few spare minutes—by reaching for our phones. Moments that could actually be meaningful get eaten up by mindless scrolling.
So, what if we tried something different? What if we saw those waiting moments as opportunities to become a better version of ourselves? To do something—anything—that leaves us feeling like we’re being invited to the front of the line, to take in the best view, instead of being stuck looping in the back.
