So what does overthinking mean – “thinking about something too much or too long” worrying too much, especially about things out of our control” and not trusting the process.
Overthinking is also different from problem solving and self reflection according to this Inc article
Problem solving is about finding a solution to a difficult problem. Sometimes problem solving involves abit of teamwork, creativity and sensible risk taking.
Healthy self- reflection is about pausing and gaining fresh perspective for a period of time. Sometimes self reflection just involves going for a long walk in nature and finding the space to self reflect.
So this week’s tip:
Assess your overthinking, problem solving and self reflecting patterns. Pull out the excessive overthinking bits that keep you stuck and affects your mood. Trust your judgment and seek wise advice where needed.
